The Enterprise Development Grant is a government grant that aims to support the growth and transformation of local businesses across various industries in Singapore.

There are 3 types of projects eligible for the grant: Core Capabilities, Innovation and Productivity, and Market Access.

The Core Capabilities projects are designed to support your business in preparing for growth and transformation by strengthening its foundations. They cover a range of areas including business strategy, financial management, human capital development, service excellence, and strategic brand and marketing development. These initiatives aim to equip your business with the necessary tools and skills to thrive and adapt in a rapidly changing market.

The EDG grant supports strategic brand and marketing development projects that help differentiate your brand and attract your target audience. It covers activities such as diagnosing and analyzing your company, conducting research, creating effective brand strategies, and developing plans for implementation.

However, it does not cover the production of marketing collaterals like brochures, videos, websites, photography, or copywriting. Additionally, it does not fund marketing or PR campaigns, including fees for consultants, advertising, media buys, social media influencers, website or social media management, SEO, or SEM.

Local businesses can receive up to 50% of funding support from the government for qualifying project costs. Sustainability-related projects may be supported up to 70%.
Local businesses that are registered and operating in Singapore, with a minimum of 30% local shareholding, and have a minimum annual sales turnover of S$400,000 can apply.
The application process involves filling up an application form and submission of the required documents via the Business Grant Portal, providing necessary documents, and waiting for the approval process, which typically takes around 8 weeks.
The project assessment criteria include relevance and impact, project feasibility, capability, and capacity to implement, as well as the commitment level of the company to the project.
Businesses have the option to apply for the grant for multiple projects, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and their projects are considered suitable for funding. However, each grant will be approved on a per-category basis. For instance, if a company has applied for automation under the EDG grant, they can only submit one application for that specific category.
No, the grant is only available for new projects that have not started before the application is submitted.
If your application is approved, you will receive a Letter of Offer from Enterprise Singapore, and the grant will be disbursed upon the successful completion of the project and fulfillment of other post-project requirements (e.g. audit of the project deliverables).
The post-project requirements include submission of a project completion report, a financial report, and attendance at Enterprise Singapore’s follow-up sessions.
